"Competence Center" laboratory of Norgau was opened at Satbayev University

The opening ceremony of "Competence Center" laboratory of Norgau, one of the leading Russian manufacturers of industrial equipment, took place at Satbayev University Mechanical Engineering and Energy Institute. The new center will become a modern training space for engineering personnel, where workshops, trainings and equipment demonstrations will be held with industry experts’ participation.

The new laboratory is designed to combine students' theoretical training with practice, allowing future engineers and technicians to get to know modern technologies and tools directly. Thanks to the partnership with Norgau, a comprehensive training system will be implemented here, including modern digital solutions - from automated storage systems to tool management programs.

The opening of the laboratory was attended by the founders of Norgau Natalya Svirina and Valery Kostyuchenko, as well as the educational department head Alexander Umrilov. The ceremony was attended by Satbayev University’s Rector Meiram Begentayev, and Vice-rector for Academic Affairs, Raissa Uskenbayeva, as well as Energy Department’s representatives.

Norgau company was founded in 1998 and today offers engineers and manufacturers more than 25,000 types of professional tools. Among the key areas are metrology, machining, assembly tools and digital solutions for industry. The company is a resident of Skolkovo Innovation Center, where a professional Competence Center has also been opened, equipped with modern high-precision metrological equipment.

For Satbayev University, Norgau cooperation has become a logical continuation of the course towards evolving the technical education and introducing the advanced technologies in Kazakhstan: the new competence center will strengthen the link between science and production, forming a new generation of technical specialists ready to work in modern industry.
