Prospects for joint projects: Satbayev University held talks with representatives of China's industrial and educational sectors
A meeting of university representatives with the delegation of the People's Republic of China was held at Satbayev University, the purpose of which was to discuss the prospects for joint work in the scientific and technical field. The parties discussed the development of partnership in the field of machine-building production, innovative technologies and engineering personnel training, which opens up opportunities for launching new joint research initiatives.
The representative of Equipment Industry Development Center at Industry and Information Technology Ministry, Yin Feng, and the faculty dean of Mechanics and Electrical Engineering of Shihezi University were greeted by Kassym Yelemessov, director of A. Burkitbayev Institute of Energy and Mechanical Engineering, noting the importance of international cooperation in accelerating the technological evolvement. Chinese delegation representatives expressed interest in sharing their experience and creating joint international research teams.
During the negotiations, the parties discussed in detail the areas in which cooperation can be most effective. Special attention was paid to creating the double degree program in mechanical engineering between Satbayev University and Shihezi University. Representatives of the Chinese Center for Education and Industry Integration noted that Satbayev University trains specialists in precisely those areas in which China is actively developing the scientific research, and expressed interest in educating its students in Almaty.
The discussion highlighted the common goal of forming a long-term partnership between the leading educational and scientific centers of Kazakhstan and China. Satbayev University, as the country's oldest technical university, continues to strengthen international relations, expand participation in global engineering projects and promote the introduction of modern technologies in the industrial sector.
