Satbayev University students – winners of Inter-University English Language Olympiad

On April 12, 2025, an inter-university English language Olympiad was held at Kazakh-British Technical University among first-year students of technical specialties in Almaty.

The Olympiad was organized in the format of a video contest. The goal of the Olympiad was to increase students' interest in studying the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals and to raise awareness and support from the student community on global issues by motivating students to create social videos.

The inter-university Olympiad was organized with the support of the Rectorate of KBTU and the English Language Sector of the School of Social Sciences. Students from KBTU, Satbayev University, Energo University, and IITU participated in the event. From Satbayev University, two teams, Future Forward and Mahatma, participated under the leadership of senior lecturer L.A. Duiseyeva (Department of Foreign Languages).

As a result of the Olympiad, the Future Forward team, consisting of first-year students Madina Kakyzhanova, Nariman Berikuly, Zhamila Isakan, and Dugina Darya took the second place and awarded a cash certificate of 250,000 tenge. Additionally, all participants received various gifts from KBTU and the educational center Education First.
