"Zan men tartip": Satbayev University discussed how compliance with the law affects the future of youth
An explanatory lecture was held at Satbayev University as part of "Zan men Tartip" initiative, dedicated to the responsibility of minors and youth for offenses. Nurai Chamesh, a representative of Bostandyk district Prosecutor's office, addressed the students, describing in detail the norms of criminal and administrative legislation that relate to teenagers and young people.
The students were told at what age criminal responsibility begins, what consequences hooliganism, fights, bullying, threats, drug distribution, vandalism and false calls to emergency services have. Special attention was paid to smoking and the use of vapes in public places, the prohibition of unaccompanied minors staying on the street at night, the rules of movement on electric scooters, as well as the responsibility of parents for missing the classes.
The lecturer stressed that ignorance of the law does not absolve from responsibility, and any actions, even seemingly insignificant ones, can have serious consequences for future reputation, studies and career. Satbayev University notes that such meetings help to form a legal culture among young people and a responsible attitude towards their actions.
