Specialty: "Chemical technology of organic substances"

In 2007, I graduated from Abai Gymnasium in Kalbatau, Zharma District, the sacred land of Abai, and, driven by ambition, I pursued higher education at Satbayev University in Almaty. I was fortunate to be awarded a state grant to study in the 072100 - "Chemical Technology of Organic Substances" program. Even during my school years, I had developed a keen interest in chemistry and chemical engineering, envisioning a future in this field. At that time, petrochemistry and the oil industry were trending directions, which further fueled my enthusiasm for this domain.

Thus, with great aspirations, I embarked on my academic journey at the esteemed Satbayev University, one of the leading institutions for technical education in Kazakhstan, named after the distinguished scientist and first president of the Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan, Kanysh Imantayuly Satbayev. It was here that I earned both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees, fulfilling my academic and professional ambitions.

My time at Satbayev University provided a robust platform for intellectual and practical development. Alongside my peers from across the country, I spent exciting and memorable years, enriched by high-quality education from the faculty of the Department of Chemical Processing of Oil, Gas, and Polymers within the Institute of Geology and Oil-Gas Engineering. The knowledge and skills imparted by the distinguished faculty, many of whom had extensive industrial experience from the Soviet education system, played a crucial role in shaping my expertise. Notable scholars, including Professors E.M. Shaikhutdinov, T.A. Yagudeev, Zh.Zh. Bayarstanova, B.O. Myngbayev, and G.I. Boyko, among others, shared their invaluable experience, guiding us toward professional excellence.

Moreover, the university's advanced infrastructure, extensive library resources, and opportunities for industrial training at major oil refineries - such as Atyrau Oil Refinery, Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant, and Shymkent Oil Refinery-as well as research institutes and production facilities, allowed us to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and industrial practice. These experiences significantly contributed to my professional formation as a chemical engineer.

Beyond academics, the university fostered my involvement in scientific, creative, and public activities, enabling well-rounded personal and professional development. During my master’s studies, I had the privilege of participating in an international academic mobility program under the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, which allowed me to complete a research internship at the China University of Petroleum in Beijing. There, I attended lectures delivered by globally renowned professors and exchanged knowledge with international colleagues.

Upon graduation, I received multiple job offers from major oil-producing regions. However, my passion for scientific research led me to join the D.V. Sokolsky Institute of Fuel, Catalysis, and Electrochemistry, where I engaged in various scientific projects. Concurrently, I pursued doctoral studies at Kazakh-British Technical University (KBTU), further refining my expertise in chemical engineering.

Satbayev University was instrumental in equipping me with the foundational knowledge and research skills necessary for both industrial and academic pursuits. From 2021 to 2023, I served as the principal investigator of a major applied research project (AP09259846), funded by the Scientific Committee. This project focused on developing and implementing an optimal modular biogas complex with an intelligent control system for processing agricultural and food industry waste.

In 2024, I was honored to receive the title of Associate Professor in Chemical Engineering. By the end of the same year, I was awarded the prestigious Bolashak International Scholarship, becoming one of the 500 scholars selected for a research fellowship at Humboldt University in Berlin. My research now extends into the field of green technologies and sustainable development.

Currently, I continue my academic and research endeavors at Shakarim University, actively engaging in education and scientific investigations. I am privileged to collaborate with my esteemed academic mentors, Prof. B.S. Selenova, Zh. Albayeva, and our esteemed lecturer M.E. Nursultanov, with whom I now share a collegial and intellectual bond.

For all these opportunities and achievements, I extend my deepest gratitude to my alma mater, Satbayev University. I sincerely wish my university continued success and global recognition as a leading institution of higher education.
