"Samruk Innovation Hub": How Students and Young Scientists Can Enter the Industry of the Future

On April 8, 2025, an informational seminar was held at Satbayev University's main academic building (room 343, Main Building), marking the launch of a competition for the development and implementation of innovative solutions as part of the "Samruk Innovation Hub" initiative.
The event was organized by the Samgau Center for Scientific and Technical Information (Samgau CSTI) and the Office of Commercialization and Contract Research (OCCR) of Satbayev University, with support from the portfolio companies of JSC "Samruk-Kazyna"—namely, JSC "KEGOC," JSC "NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy," and JSC "NC KazMunayGas."
The goal of the competition is to engage young researchers, senior-year students, and master's and PhD candidates from Satbayev University in solving pressing technological challenges faced by the country’s leading national companies. This is a unique opportunity to apply scientific knowledge in practice and contribute to the development of Kazakhstan’s key industries.
During the seminar, representatives of Samgau CSTI and the participating companies presented in detail the technological challenges faced by Kazakhstan’s industrial giants, as well as the eligibility criteria and requirements for participation in the competition.
The seminar served as the first introductory session and laid the foundation for future collaboration between the university and industrial enterprises. Among the guests were faculty members, academic supervisors, and staff actively involved in innovative and applied research.
