Satbayev University and Chinese Research Academy of Environmental Sciences discussed future partnership

The development of environmentally sustainable technologies was the main topic of the meeting of Satbayev University delegation with representatives of Chinese Research Academy of Environmental Sciences. The talks held at Academy in Beijing opened up new prospects for cooperation in the field of environmental monitoring, water purification, air pollution control and modern environmental monitoring technologies.

Satbayev University, which pays special attention to the principles of the Sustainable Development Goals and topical issues of Kazakhstan's development in the field of water and environmental safety, is particularly interested in creating innovative technologies for water and air purification, as well as restoring ecosystems of watersheds. Therefore, during the meeting, much attention was paid to discussing developments in the field of low-carbon water treatment methods, monitoring atmospheric pollution and reducing industrial emissions.

The parties expressed mutual interest in strengthening the scientific contacts, creating joint research programs and developing strategic partnerships in the field of environmental technologies sphere. An agreement was reached on cooperation in the field of ecology, air quality monitoring and water resources protection, including the development of water treatment technologies, reduction of industrial emissions and restoring the ecosystems.

Satbayev University is confident that the given cooperation will be an important step in ensuring Kazakhstan's environmental safety and promoting sustainable development in Central Asia.
