Satbayev University delegation discussed the prospects of cooperation with PCPC-PV and KazBitumService plants in Pavlodar

Satbayev University delegation visited PPCPC-PV calcined petroleum coke production plant in Pavlodar to form fruitful scientific and technical cooperation between science and domestic production. Delegation was attended by Head of the Office of Commercialization and Contract Research Meirzhan Abdirov and Deputy Director of Geology and Oil and Gas Business Institute Aibek Abdukarimov.
PPCPC-PV is a Kazakhstani company for producing the calcined petroleum coke, which meets the needs of the Kazakh market in this important component of aluminum production. It reduces dependence on imports, thereby increasing the sustainability of Kazakhstan's aluminum industry.
Delegation met with the plant management and discussed joint work, the organization of working groups for joint projects, such as a project to produce geo-polymer composites based on by-products of the coke industry, as well as the production of needle coke. The work of University staff in the production laboratory and advanced training of the plant's employees in Master's and Doctoral programs were discussed as well.
The delegation also visited KazBitumService, a plant that produces roofing and waterproofing materials according to European standards.
Satbayev University, as the country's leading research university, is increasing integration with industrial enterprises, actively participating in the implementation of scientific solutions in production. The visit to the plant was an important step in strengthening the link between science and production, opening up new opportunities for elaborating and implementing the innovative solutions in Kazakhstan’s industry.
