Satbayev University Digital Engineering and Technologies Institute is expanding the horizons of understanding Artificial Intelligence at Harvard

Experts in the field of big data and machine intelligence from Satbayev University Digital Engineering and Technologies Institute participated in an international round table on "National and Global AI Governance: a view from the USA and Kazakhstan", which was held on April 23 at Harvard. During the event, a memorandum of understanding was signed between RK MSHE and Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies.
Round table was opened by Harvard Vice President for International Affairs Professor Mark K. Elliott and Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sayassat Nurbek, who shared their vision of the future of artificial intelligence in the USA and Kazakhstan.
Artificial intelligence management has been at the forefront of the global agenda over the past year. Politicians, engineers, and scientists recognize the enormous impact of AI on all aspects of life in the modern world, from economic development to global security. In this context, dialogue between countries is of particular importance.
One of these steps was Round table, which brought together leading experts from the United States and Kazakhstan to share knowledge and develop joint approaches to AI problems. The report from Satbayev University was delivered by professor Ryshan Satybaldiyeva, who currently conducts scientific research in the United States, who spoke about new horizons of academic excellence made possible by artificial intelligence-based tools.
Round table was organized by Satbayev University Digital Engineering and Technologies Institute in cooperation with Narkhoz University, with the support of RK MSHE and Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies named after Davis of Harvard University. The dialogue was attended by Director of Davis Center Eve Blau, senior researcher at Davis Center's Central Asia Program Nargis Kassenova, Dean of Information Systems and Cybersecurity Faculty at Boston University Tanya Zlateva, Chairman of Board of Directors at Satbayev University Digital Engineering and Technologies Institute Askar Akhmetov, professor at Law and Public Administration School at Narkhoz Medeu Kurmangali, as well as Rectors of Kazakhstan's leading universities.
The meeting was held in line with global initiatives such as UN Future Summit and Global Digital Compact, and became a platform for discussing the most pressing topics: the role of artificial intelligence in education and science, as well as its impact on international relations and national strategies.
