Satbayev University establishes cooperation with JV Baiterek JSC

On April 16, 2025, Satbayev University was visited by a guest of honor - Chairman of Baiterek Cosmodrome Board, National Hero of Kazakhstan, cosmonaut, major general of Kazakhstan’s Air Force Aidyn Akanovich Aimbetov.

Aidyn Akanovich met with university students, talked about his life and career in the space industry, shared vivid memories of training and space flight, and inspired future Kazakhstani engineers and scientists to succeed and achieve. The students listened to the Hero's story with great interest and asked a lot of questions about modern challenges in aerospace technologies sphere.

The meeting key moment was the signing of a cooperation memorandum between JSC “JV Baiterek” and Satbayev University. The document provides for partnerships evolvement in the field of personnel training for the aerospace industry, implementing the joint research and educational projects, as well as organizing the internships and practices for students and young professionals.

Satbayev University, as the country's leading technical university, is actively developing the areas related to future engineering, including space and aerospace technologies. The signing of the memorandum will open up new horizons for integrating the science, education and industry.
