Satbayev University has become a center of mining innovations: KAZ Minerals Enrichment Forum was held at the university

Forum of Concentrators 2025, Kazakhstan's largest industry platform for professional dialogue in the field of mineral processing, has begun at Satbayev University. The organizer was KAZ Minerals group, which brought together leading mining industry experts, scientific institutes, equipment manufacturers and young engineers from all over the country at the forum.

The forum brought together representatives of the largest mining companies, including KAZ Minerals, Kazakhmys, ERG, Kazzinc, Altynalmas, Syensqo, FLSmidth, Metso and others. Over the course of two days, participants will share their experiences, present their solutions, and discuss key areas of development, from improving ore processing efficiency to implementing the digital technologies and international standards. Ulpan Dzhetybayeva, Chief Enricher of KAZ Minerals Group, stressed that the experience exchange program with universities and other companies in the mining industry is constantly expanding:

- We usually hold such forums for our company's specialists, but this year we have invited students and representatives of our partners from Kazakhstan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan and other countries. We are here to share our achievements and gain momentum for development. We are looking for inspiration, we are looking for new solutions, we are looking for personnel. I think we'll get it all.

Forum program includes presentations of advanced technologies, discussion of practical experience of enterprises, demonstration of scientific developments and students’ projects. Special attention was paid to the use of artificial intelligence in the production, processing of complex and oxidized ores, improvement of breeding processes, as well as modern approaches to accounting for the balance of metals.

Forum’s one of the key events was the demonstration of installing the Jameson Cell flotation machine, a unique equipment widely recognized in world practice for efficiency and cost-effectiveness in the flotation process. Jameson Cell installation at the university will open up new opportunities for conducting research and training students who are getting acquainted with advanced enrichment technologies in practice.

 Enrichment Forum 2025 has become an important step in evolving the applied engineering and strengthening ties between the university and industry. This year, it is being held at Satbayev University for the second time. It provides an opportunity for professionals from science and industry to meet and work out joint solutions to pressing problems of Republic of Kazakhstan’ economy.
