Satbayev University received a delegation from one of the leading technical universities in China

Satbayev University was visited by the delegation from Management School of Harbin Technology Institute (HIT), one of China's leading technical universities known for its research in engineering, artificial intelligence, robotics and aerospace technologies.

Delegation included professor Jin Jiafei, director of the analytical center Belt and Road Talent Strategy Think Tank, professor Wang Jian, dean of Management School, a representative of Aetos Systems, as well as a group of doctoral students. From Satbayev University, Yerkebulan Kurymbai, acting head of Office for International Cooperation welcomed the guests.

Witnin the official meeting, the parties discussed the prospects of academic and scientific cooperation, joint research and dual degree programs in the field of engineering and management personnel training. Particular attention was paid to organizing the scientific internships for young scientists who came to Kazakhstan to form international connections for future research.

In his welcoming speech, professor Jin Jiafei stressed that the given projects will become part of the cooperation that is currently developing within the framework of Shanghai Cooperation Organization:

"It is especially important for us to evolve academic ties and create opportunities for young researchers” said professor Jin. - Our university is the architect of the world-famous DeepSeek neural network, and we, for our part, are interested in opening a joint artificial intelligence laboratory at Satbayev University. Harbin Technology Institute is one of the key centers of engineering and technology education in China with three campuses in Harbin, Shenzhen and Weihai. University is one of the leaders in Asia in robotics, automation, mechanical engineering, materials science and computer science spheres, and is actively developing international partnerships with universities and research centers around the world.

Since last year, Satbayev University has been evolving academic collaboration with HIT, exchanging visits and developing training programs for teachers: this year, two university professors will participate in a camp on new energy technologies in Harbin, which will be held from the end of May to the beginning of June. The new visit of HIT delegation was another step in strengthening Satbayev University's international cooperation and expanding Kazakhstan's scientific and educational ties with leading technology centers in Asia.
