Satbayev University Team Wins 2nd Place in Cisco Networking Academy 2025 Regional Competition

The “Ehsanius Maximus” team from Satbayev University proudly took 2nd place in the 2025 Cisco Networking Academy Regional Capture the Flag (CTF) Competition, which covered the Middle East, Africa, and CIS regions.

The team consisted of second-year Cybersecurity students Behnia Ehsan Abdolkhalegh and Sundet Tomiris Aybarkyzy, and was mentored by Dinara Kozhamzharova of the Institute of Automation and Information Technologies, Department of Cybersecurity, Information Processing and Storage (COIS).

This remarkable result reflects the students’ dedication, their strong academic foundation, and the guidance of an experienced mentor. The team successfully tackled a series of advanced cybersecurity challenges, showcasing both technical competence and teamwork.
